Data security

Everything about how Informer secures your accounting data, where it is stored, and which certifications we hold.

Server location

Your data is stored on three servers via AWS (Amazon Web Services) in Frankfurt, Germany β€” within the EU. The servers are protected by Web Application Firewalls (WAF).

Encryption & SSL

All your data is encrypted. Informer holds the most comprehensive SSL certificate available, ensuring that information between your browser and the server always remains private.

Real-time backups

Informer continuously creates real-time backups of the entire database. As a user, you will never notice any disruption from updates or changes.

Secure login

You can add extra security to your account with:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) β€” an extra security code when logging in

  • Passkeys β€” safer and easier login without a password

Certifications & audits

Informer holds two prestigious security certifications:

  • πŸ‡³πŸ‡± Betrouwbaar Boekhouden (Netherlands)

  • πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Trusted Cloud (Germany)

To maintain these certifications, an independent audit is conducted annually across nearly 300 requirements. In addition, periodic penetration tests are carried out by an external ethical hacker.

Secure invoicing via Peppol

With a free Peppol registration, you can send digital invoices safely and with guaranteed delivery via the Peppol network.
